Tips for Visiting Holiday World in Santa Claus, IN

Holiday World is a hidden gem of an amusement park tucked amongst the cornfields of Southern Indiana. It opened as Santa Claus Land in 1946 as the nation’s first amusement park. My mom went when she was a little girl and when the park had little more than a small train and a petting zoo. I’ve also been visiting Holiday World since I was little and have continued the tradition with my own family. Today the park is the most family-friendly amusement park I’ve been to and they have the BEST waterpark ever (at one point it was the second largest in the world!). Some of the best parts? FREE drinks all day, FREE sunscreen and FREE parking. Can’t beat that!

60 Things To Do in a Southwest Ohio Summer

It’s time for some summer fun! Every year I itch for summer to come so I can take my boys on adventures. I have a knack for finding even the most random things to do wherever I go. This summer we’ve put together a Summer Bucket List to help us decide what to do next and to help us track where we’ve been. There are about 60 days of summer vacation, so we have come up with “60 Things To Do in a Southwest Ohio Summer!” Granted, we won’t complete all 60 of these, but it will be fun to check items off our bucket list all summer.
